In Our Class This Week...

I want to start off by saying the kids had an amazing week back! They were on task, and well behaved. Let's keep this going until the end of the school year.

Scholastic book orders can always be placed online using the link to the right of the page and they will arrive quicker. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me or stop by the classroom.

4/22: Family Friday is BACK!
Kinder lunch at 11:00
4/27: Wacky Wednesday
4/28: Awards @ 8am

May
5/5: Cinco de Mayo performance at 1:00 and celebration to follow

Here is a look into our new week

Language Arts:
Story: Unit 5 Week 4 "Little Engine That Could"
Writing:
Continue with Unit 6: personal narratives

Math:
Finish Chapter 18: Subtraction Stories
Students will be able to represent subtraction stories with subtraction sentences
Students will be able to understand simple subtraction
Students will be able to compare two sets and show the number sentence to answer, how many more
Students will be able to subtract fluently to 5
TEST TUESDAY
Begin Chapter 19:Measurement
Students will be able to compare weights using nonstandard units
Students will be able to compare containers according to capacity

Science:
Continue Project Lead the Way

Please feel free to email me or stop by with any questions or concerns. Students were given access to MobyMax. Please try using the online program at home. Students may do Language Arts or Math. This is an awesome individualized learning program. Also, parents still have access to our grade books. My grade book is updated on a weekly basis.
