In Our Class This Week...

Great job on the October family project! I'm looking forward to the students sharing their pumpkins tomorrow. 

November family project information will be going home this Monday!

Also, please remember to turn in permission slip for our trip to UCR by 11/2.

Disguise a Turkey Project

CVC reading test on Friday mix of S, A, T, M and P words

Letter of the week: P
Letter P song ABC Mouse
Home activities: Look for the letter P (in all kinds of fonts)
Say words that begin with the /p/ sound
Draw pictures that begin with the /p/ sound

Weekly reading comprehension test: Every Friday (Based on the comprehension skill of the week)

This week's focus: Main Idea

High Frequency Words (HFW): Same set of words last for two weeks. These words are meant to be read just by seeing them.
This week's words: we, my, like

Math: Unit 2 Numbers to 10 (3.12 to 3.15)
Unit 3-Numbers to 10
Students will be able to count and say up to 10
Count and cross items out
Match items to 10
1-1 item, 2-2 items, 3-3 items, etc.

Unit 3 test on Friday

Science: Baby Animals
Students will be able to state facts about baby animals.

Social Studies: Unit 4 Lesson 1 "How can you find things?"
Students will be able to determine the relative location of objects using the terms near/far, left/right and behind/in front.
