In Our Class This Week...

Good morning! I just wanted to thank everyone for their donations this past week with Wacky Wednesday and St. Patricks Day. I really appreciate your help as do the students! 

Report Cards will be going home on Wednesday, March 22nd so PLEASE check green folders!

Home activities: Look for the letters Jj and Ww (in all types of fonts)
Say words that begin with the letters Jj and Ww
Draw pictures that begin with the letters Jj and Ww
Sound out/blend CVC words (determine if real or silly)
jet, wet, June, will, wind, jump, Jill, Jen, wand, wam
Write CVC words with middle /a/ /e/ /i/ /o/ /u/


Weekly reading comprehension test: Every Friday (Based on the comprehension skill of the week)
This week's focus: Realism vs Fantasy

High Frequency Words (HFW-also known as Sight words: Same set of words last for two weeks. These words are meant to be read just by seeing them).
This week's words: yellow, blue, green

Math: Unit 10 Numbers to 20
Unit 10: Numbers to 20
Teen numbers
Make groups of tens and say the number the "tens" way
Have students build numbers to 20 and set aside a group of ten
Count tens and ones to 20
