In Our Class This Week...

Good afternoon parents and guardians, 

Thank you to those who donated items and your time towards our Apple Tasting celebration. We had a blast tasting different apple items and playing some games. 


Be sure to check out our Shutterfly page for our latest classroom pictures. If you would like access, please email me for a special invite. Soon all parents/guardians will be given access to teachers grade books. I try to update my grades right away after the students take a test.

We are in need of the following for our classroom:

Paper towels

 Please help me reinforce the following hand signals and rules: 
Hand Signals: (show me the number of fingers in the air)
2 fingers: restroom
Encourage your child to use the restroom before school, during recess, during lunch, during PE and after school.
3 fingers: water
Children may bring their own water bottle to keep in class, please LABEL it with their name.
4 fingers: tissue
when needed, please ask student to sit back down right away
5 fingers: question

Classroom Rules:

School News:
Our 20th day of school is tomorrow! Tomorrow will be an attendance challenge and house inductions. For the attendance challenge, all children present and on time will receive a free dress pass (to use on another day). Also, all students present and on time will be placed in a special raffle (first prize: house spirit shirt, second prize: VIP parking).
House induction for Kindergarten will happen in the MPR at 2pm. All visitors must first sign in at the office.  After house inductions take place, parents may purchase student and adult house shirt. Please see office for more information. 
PS. I am in the house of Amistad, the house of friendship. I cannot wait to see who will join me and represent the color red! 

October Family Project: Pumpkin Book Character Due 10/27

10/4: PTO Fundraiser at Miguel's Jr in Moreno Valley 1pm to 9pm
25% of your meal will be donated to our school. Bring the flyer (sent home on Friday) in order to redeem.

Writing: The Handwriting House
Review writing house and lines
Practice writing HANGING/FALLING LETTERS

Test on Friday, October 6th. 
Students will be expected to write their first name and all letters in the correct part of the handwriting house.
