In Our Class This Week...

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! I know Spring fever is in the air, but please remind your child it is important to follow all school rules. 

Classroom rules:

Sound  out  blend CVC words (determine if real or silly)
 cub, sun, nud, sub, rup, lut
Make a list words with these endings
-ub, -ug, -un, -up, -ut


Weekly reading comprehension test: Every Friday (Based on the comprehension skill of the week)

High Frequency Words (HFW-also known as Sight words : Same set of words last for two weeks. These words are meant to be read just by seeing them.

    Students will be able to use position words to tell where objects are located.

    Social Studies: Unit 4-Lesson 3: What symbols do you know?Students will be able to identify symbols and map symbols (e.g those for land, water, roads, cities)

    TEST: Friday
    Write sentences with a "WHO",  "WHAT" and "WHERE"
    Ex: The dog ran to the tree.
    who: dog     what: ran    where: tree

    Practice paper (print and use at home)
