Last Week of School Reminders


End of the Year Luau Thursday, June 22nd
Free Hawaiian Dress day
If you would like to bring in anything that is not on the sign up list for the celebration please let me know!

Tentative Schedule:
Games with Mrs. Gil's Class 9:30-11:00
Lunch/Recess 11: 00-11:45
Movie 11:45-1:15
Snacks 1:15-1:45
Class awards: 1:45-2:15
Meet the Stars (autographs): 2:15-2:45
Pack up for the last time: 2:45-3:00

Kindergarten Graduation Friday, June 23rd at the Jurupa Campus
Meet at the Jurupa Campus in the Sanctuary at 8am. 
June Awards will begin at 8:30am and graduation will follow awards. 
Refreshments and dessert will be served immediately following the graduation on the patio (please let me know if you would like to donate a finger dessert).

In Our Class This Week...

Only 10 days left! These next two weeks will FLY by and we have A LOT of fun activities planned! Let me know if you have any questions :)

We are in need of the following:

6/13: Kindergarten Field Trip
Please have your child wear their REACH spirit shirt and have a sack lunch in their backpacks (unless they pre ordered lunch from school). 

6/14: Full Day of School

6/15: Half Day of School 1pm dismissal (NO AFTER SCHOOL)
Spring Performance
Tk-2 Show begins at 4:30
Students will report to teachers at 4:00
Students will need to dress in all tan, tan pants and a plain white shirt, or brown and tan (see example below). 

6/16: Donuts with Dads @ 7:15am

6/16: Family Friday Lunch @ 11am

6/19: Day of Play (bring games and toys, NO ELECTRONICS)

6/21: Full day of school

6/22: Rustin Kindergarten Graduation and Awards @ 1:30pm
Students may wear free dress 
*Sunday best is recommended*
Don't forget your child's cap. 
If you would like to decorate your child's cap and have not received it, please let me know. 

6/23: Last day of school- End of year party - half day

Here is a look into our week

Language Arts:
Blends 
Review of skills (beginning/middle/end sounds, rhyming words, comprehension, CVC/CVCC reading, HFW)

Math: Unit 15 Numbers to 100
Students will count by 5's and 10's to 100 and identify what comes after and before in numbers up to 100. 

Songs:
Count to 100 by 10's
Count to 100 by 5's

We will start our End of the Year Math Assessment on Wednesday. It will be a review of the entire years Math curriculum (shapes, numbers, addition, subtraction, tens and ones, number bonds).

Science: Dinosaurs and Fossils
Students will be able to state facts about dinosaurs and fossils.

Writing: The Handwriting House
TEST FRIDAY
Write sentences with a "WHO",  "WHAT", "WHERE", "WHEN", "WHY" and "HOW"

Exp: The dog quickly ran into the house at noon because he was hot.
who: dog    what: ran   where: house   when: noon   why: hot   how: quickly
