In Our Class This Week...

What a fun, yet busy short week! I was beyond proud of my kiddos during their Spring Performance! Thank you to all those families that came out and supported REACH! Lots more fun events are coming up, information will be going home, or posted on our classroom window and of course here on the blog. Please check on a weekly basis for the most up to date information. I also will be sending home a calendar of events for June with the homework packet this week, so please check for that!


                       Some important news from the PTO and dates to keep in mind:
6/10: Last day to submit 100 mile club miles for credit
6/12: Family Friday Lunch
6/18: End of the Year Awards Assembly @ 8am
6/18: STEAM Expo @ 4pm
6/19: Donuts for dads @ 7:15am

Last week of school
6/22: Sports Day (more info to come- 7 VOLUNTEERS WILL BE NEEDED!)

6/23: Kindergarten Field Trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific
Permission slip will go home this Monday
Lunch order forms must be turned in by FRIDAY, no later!
Student price: $5.00
Chaperon price: $20.00 (7 per Kinder class)
Chaperons must drive themselves to and from the trip
Any student who cannot afford to pay may still attend the field trip
All students must ride to and from the field trip on the bus
Siblings are not allowed on field trips
Students who are not attending the field trip are expected to be in class that day

6/24: FULL day of school- End of the Year Luau (volunteers needed)

6/25: Last day of school (HALF day)-KINDERGARTEN graduation
MobyMax
Continue to use Mobymax at home whenever your child gets a chance. Every child's learning is individualized! This is a great, fun program for the kids to use to reinforce math and language arts skills.

Science:
Ocean Unit
Homework for the next few weeks will be to work on the research project of the ocean animal that your child chose. Also, get started on the atrocities representation of your animal. Here are some examples:

Social Studies/Leadership:
Excellence and Guide to being a Kindergartner

Please feel free to email me or stop by with any questions or concerns.
Also, please be sure to check online grades. Parents were given access to our grades books at the beginning of the school year. This is a great way to see how your child is doing in class. If you need your access information please see Sarah in the office.
